Ben Schwartz and director extraordinaire Werner Herzog both return to the studio on today’s Comedy Bang Bang! Scott shares his enthusiasm for season two of the Comedy Bang Bang TV series, which premieres on IFC this Friday July 12th, and Ben and Scott discuss the new season of Ben’s series House of Pies. Werner discusses the plight of working with a green screen, reveals what kind of vehicle he drives and what it’s like working on a film with Thomas Cruise. The filmography of Prince and the pronunciation of the word “marshmallow” are mentioned before Werner clues us in on his favorite film of all time and Ben tries out a new character. Comedy Bang Bang will return with a very special B-B-B-BONUS episode this Thursday.
- Mos Eisley Cantina Band song: Scott and Ben sing "Skid Row (Downtown) " from Little Shop of Horrors, which segues into the Mos Eisley Cantina song from Star Wars.
- My Wife: Scott tries to do "my Blu-Ray" (a la "my wife") but Werner and Ben don't approve.
- House of Pies: Ben Schwartz talks about his show, Scott struggles with the name.
- May I ask a question: Scott points out that no one needs to ask if they can ask a question.
Werner Herzog's favorite movie is Herbie Goes Bananas (1980).
Werner talks about his performance in Jack Reacher, he mentions he "has two thumbs and that's pretty much it, handwise."
They perform an improvised "Where's the Beef" commercial; Scott thinks "Where's the Beef" is the name of a restaurant.
